  • Emergency contacts

How will my emergency contact know that I am in danger?

When your phone suspects that you have experienced a fall or an accident, it will activate an alarm. If you do not respond to the alarm within 90 seconds, your emergency contact will get access to your current location through Google Maps and be notified that you are in danger. If the alarm goes off for other reasons, you have 90 seconds to switch it off. To turn off the alarm choose one of the options on the screen.

How do I add an emergency contact?

Go to menu > Emergency contacts > press the + in the top right corner. Your emergency contact will receive a link to download the free version of the Biker112 app. Please always make sure your emergency contact uses the same e-mail address that you entered under his/her details.
You cannot start a ride without a confirmed emergency contact.

What does my emergency contact have to do to be notified that I am in danger?

Make sure you have entered the right emergency contact and you have selected the right emergency contact as one of your ‘preferred emergency contacts’. Both you and your emergency contact need to ensure you have a good data connection during your bike ride. When your emergency contact gets the notification that you are in danger, he/she can get in touch with you and provide you with the assistance you need.
You can only add emergency contacts that have downloaded the free version of the Biker112 app for emergency contacts.

How do I change my preferred emergency contact?

When entering an emergency contact, you can click the box ‘preferred’ to add this contact as your preferred contact.
If you want to change and unmark this contact as your preferred contact, you can do so in the emergency contact overview simply by clicking the star in the top left corner.
